ABOUT

We’re Elissa, Jarrett, and a few too many animals.

A family-owned Pittsburgh service built around showing up, closing gates, and making the yard one less thing to think about.

Doo-Doo Dudes is a family business. Literally. Elissa is CEO, Jarrett runs the tech, and the rest of the payroll is Murphy (nine-year-old yellow lab, 140 pounds of personality), Belial (four-year-old black pit, reactive lovebug), three cats, two kids, and a yard that taught us exactly what we’re selling. That last part is how we got here.

Elissa started Doo-Doo Dudes to build something her family could grow with. She’s spent years running operations for other people — which is another way of saying she knows what reliable service looks like because she’s delivered it for a living. When we asked around north of Pittsburgh about what neighbors actually needed, this kept coming up: busy dog parents, three-dog households, seniors who couldn’t bend over like they used to. Real demand, usually served badly by the big chains, waiting for someone local to do it right.

We’re Pittsburgh kids. Elissa grew up in Highland Park; Jarrett grew up in Ross Township. We met fifteen years ago and somehow ended up back in the neighborhoods that raised us. Our day jobs are in logistics — the kind of work where you show up on the day you said you would, with the equipment you said you’d bring, on the route you said you’d take. That’s exactly how we run this.

The name came from our eight-year-old, James. We were at the kitchen table trying to pick something serious and professional when he piped up: Doo-Doo Dudes. We stopped trying. He was right — it tells you exactly what we do, and it makes you smile a little while it does. The tagline wrote itself from there.

Dog, dung? Done. That’s the whole promise. We live here, we own this, and we’d love to be your dudes.
